Dublin Port is a working port about 2.7 km from the city centre, and cruise passengers usually cannot walk through it, so plan on the ship shuttle or a taxi. Book the Book of Kells and Guinness Storehouse ahead.
Where Dublin lies
Where your ship docks
Most ships dock inside Dublin Port (a working cargo and ferry port); some ships use Dún Laoghaire or anchor in Dublin Bay. Dublin Port limits cruise calls to protect cargo berths (its policy has capped calls at about 80 a year since 2021); planned large cruise berths at North Wall Quay Extension have not been confirmed as open. Berth names were not confirmed.
Shuttle. Usually offered; check your planner.
